There's Much Excitement to Be Had Over Diapers

Yesterday, online retailer made its advertising debut with an over-the-top ad via R/GA that showed people's heads literally exploding with excitement over the savings afforded by company. Today, it followed the ad up with a responsive social campaign that plays off the items in actual shopper's carts.

Created out of SS+K, the #JetSpree effort enlists a buttoned-up spokesman, double dutch jumpers, a comedy troupe and more to create stories on the fly about shoppers' various product purchases, from the needs of a new mom, to nametags for a man named Michael, to face cream to a guy's subwoofer buy. The videos leverage suchs devices as haiku, a tiny toy pig, a barbershop quartet and revelers on New Year's Eve 1999.

As Chief Customer Officer LIza Landsman told Adage, "It is both a really fun, gamified way to bring to life these smarter carts, and also a great way for us to drive home the message that the more you buy smart, the more you save."
