Chicago agency Hadrian's Wall came up with a real headbanger of a notion to promote the photographers and illustrators at Jim Hanson Artist Agent Ltd. (www.jimhanson.com): a black bandana silk-screened with a photo, shot by Hanson's Glen Gyssler, of a pair of brain-bursting skulls wrapped in barbed wire and hearts. "The concept needed to demonstrate that the Jim Hanson people get it," says Hadrian AD Thomas Richie. "They can understand the process and the hurdles an idea goes through, and they can do their part to really bring the idea to life." The direct mail piece also includes a wry, illustrated handbook, which identifies the bandana as the trademarked Hanson Hankie and suggests alternate uses for it. Like signaling rescue planes.
