John Fluevog Shoes: QR Shoe Production

These shoes were made for QR codes

Published on Mar 30, 2011

Editor's Pick

John Fluevog's handmade Ask Clogs incorporate a QR code that, once scanned, links to a video showing exactly how the shoe was produced.

The Canadian designer claims that this is not only the first QR code on footwear, but the first that links to content about the product's origins. The film follows the shoe on a journey from being designed, produced from raw materials in a factory in Mexico, and, ultimately, worn.
