Behind-the-Scenes Movie Shows Intricate Background To Much-Anticipated Spot

As YouTube hits for John Lewis's animated Christmas ad The Bear And The Hare grow (over 3.8m at the last count), production companies BlinkInk and Hornet has released this "Making Of" video showing how they created the intricate 3D sets for its animations in the ad. John Lewis claims it's the first time such techniques have been used in a U.K. ad.

The Bear And The Hare has not, however, pleased everyone in the U.K. Telegraph journalist James Lachno received a storm of abuse on Twitter after slating the Lily Allen track used in the spot - although others took his side and complained about the ad's sentimentality.
