Love Cheesy '80s Country Music? Write a Verse for Johnsonville's 'Bratsgiving' Ballad

Sausage Maker Encourages You to Celebrate With Bratwurst on August 16

Sausagemaker Johnsonville continues its humorous work through Droga5 this month with an invitation to write a verse for a cheesy country ballad.

Last year, Johnsonville christened August 16 "Bratsgiving" Day and encouraged people to cook bratwurst for their friends and neighbors. Now, it's decided the occasion needs a ballad. Droga5 recorded one, sung in '80s country style by a crooner named "Leon Sunday," as seen here in a soft-focus video with hilarious lyrics about whom you might invite, from creepy uncles to "the guy you bought your sofa from on the internet." But that's not all -- it has invited people to submit a third verse via Johnsonville's website or Facebook page. People are also being encouraged to post photos of #Bratsgiving parties on social media.
