Some brands might have tried to achieve world peace this year, but KFC has stuck to making the peace between friends. The fast food brand completed its UK Christmas campaign, #UniteThis Christmas, in which it encouraged people to make peace with an enemy on Twitter, with a 60 second spot that aired this weekend during the final of the X-Factor. The one-off ad featured competition winner Alpa Patel, who had fallen out with her best friend over the planning of a trip to Australia. Patel tweeted "@KFC_Choir I want to make peace with [Sheena] as we are going travelling together for a month. It starts with 24hr flight". Here, she sings her heartfelt plea to her friend to make up over a KFC lunch, backed by the KFC Christmas choir. As before, the campaign is by BBH London with the social campaign handled by Fabric Worldwide
