Christopher Walken Narrates This Kia Optima Ad With a Musical Analogy

Spot Compares Mid Range Cars to 'Middle C' on the Piano

Editor's Pick

The distinctive tones of Christopher Walken add gravitas to this spot for the 2016 Kia Optima, in which he compares mid size sedans to the "Middle C" on a piano -- basic, boring and fundamental. Walken goes on to explain that the Optima is a "defiant midsize masterpiece" and is anything but ordinary, as we watch the pianist on a grand piano, originally pictured pressing Middle C, segue into a technically impressive piece.

The ad is by David & Goliath, and is the first of two to feature Walken as narrator. Other spots for the Optima have featured NBA Star Blake Griffin; the automaker is also planning a 60 second Super Bowl ad for the Optima next month.
