Brands' virtual reality experiences always seem pretty cool -- that is, if you can get to them. Typically, they're stationed at specific events, but now the L.A. Philharmonic is bringing the experience on the road to give people a taste of its musical offerings.
"Van Beethoven" is a virtual reality presentation of the orchestra performing Beethoven's Fifth symphony, perhaps drawing inspiration from Becks' much-publicized "Hello Again" 360-film for Lincoln later made into a VR experience. This one, however, is going on the road in a customized truck that's touring Los Angeles September 11 through October 18. Those who can't make it to the tour can download an Android app and watch it at home with a Samsung Gear VR headset. The campaign was created out of interactive agency Secret Location.
