This Beautiful Nocturnal Nature Film Is Actually a Range Rover Ad

Land Rover is introducing its new Range Rover Velar model in the U.K. with a beautiful cinematic film featuring the car driving through a jungle at night.

In the spot, directed by Chris Palmer at Gorgeous for Spark44, the car's headlights reveal a host of nocturnal creatures, including a porcupine, brightly-colored frogs and bats. It's more like a low-light night-time nature film than a car ad, because the animals are really the stars (particularly the dozy porcupine). The ad was shot in Spain -- and we're told the animals are all real, and not CGI.

Spark44ʼs chief creative officer Brian Fraser commented in a statement: "People literally stand back in awe when they first see the Velar and that's what we wanted to capture in this film."

The spot is running in cinemas, and on digital and social media.
