On its YouTube channel, automaker Land Rover recently debuted this video showcasing its "Transparent Hood" technology, which promises to give drivers x-ray vision through their fronts of their cars, so they can see the terrain underneath and directly in front of their vehicles. The technology, which Land Rover will demo at the 2014 New York Auto Show later this month with its "Discovery Vision" concept car, pairs grille cameras and heads-up display to create a virtual overlay, which makes it appear as if car hoods are see-through. The technology, if it works, should prove to be helpful in avoiding accidents and avoiding those pesky potholes.
