This fabulous stop-motion animated video for the new single "Gasoline and Matches", recorded by LeAnn Rimes, Rob Thomas, and Jeff Beck, was filmed on an iPhone. Rimes' producer Darrell Brown hired animator Ian Padgham to create the video after viewing his collection of Vine videos. Padgham filmed and directed the entire five-minute video, which comprises 8,000 stills, on a couple of iPhones, using Vine. It's not only clever, it's cute ---telling the story of Myrtle Matches and Gus Gasoline (who somehow manage to live happily ever after despite their potentially explosive combination).
Padgham, who's also an artist, previously worked as a Twitter video producer, where he honed his skill at creating Vines; he now looks set to be an in-demand animation director.
