Lego 'Returns' Stolen Statues to Budapest Park

These Might Be Better Than the Originals

Over the summer, two busts of famous Hungarian sculptors, Miklós Izsó and Fülöp O. Beck, were stolen from Budapest's Margaret Island, home to a park featuring 30 sculptures of the country's beloved artists.

So for Christmas, the Lego Store, with the help of Y&R Budapest and Lego artist Balázs Dóczy, decided to bring those statues back -- but recreated with the toy bricks. The move not only fills the holes left by the theft of the original statues, it pays homage to the creativity of Hungary.
