For years, LEGO has been making money out of movie tie-ups, from Harry Potter to Star Wars. But now, the tables are turned: LEGO The Movie is coming.

The LEGO Movie, set for release next year by Warner Bros., follows Emmet, an ordinary LEGO minifigure who is mistakenly identified as the most extraordinary person and the key to saving the world. Emmet (Chris Pratt) is drafted into a fellowship of strangers on an epic quest to stop an evil tyrant, a journey for which he is hopelessly underprepared. Will Ferrell, Morgan Freeman, Liam Neeson, Will Arnett, Elizabeth Banks, Nick Offerman and Alison Brie also star as superheroes including Batman and Wonderwoman.

The first movie poster shows the word LEGO being assembled out of LEGO Bricks (what else?), and you can see the trailer here.
