These may look really stupid, but, hey, they're postcard ads targeting 21- to 25-year-old beer drinkers - a demo not known for its appreciation of subtlety. "We needed to come up with something that was eye-catching and different, which people would pick up at local bars and then send to their friends or keep on their walls," explains writer James Holden at Wisconsin agency Jacobson Rost. The back of the postcard, he notes, sums up the sentiment with, "Leinenkugel's. Delivered fresh to you from the Northwoods of Wisconsin." But the important thing is the cow card will piss off PETA.
