New Yorkers, your summer cooling off options just got a whole lot more interesting.
Last week we wrote about Heineken's backing of plans to float an enormous swimming pool in New York's East River. But while the Pool+ proposed project is still some ways off, there's another water-based brand project you can actually indulge in this summer. LG is building a giant water park to promote its new QuadWash dishwasher, which has four spray arms instead of the industry standard of two.
Featuring giant spray arms, enormous plates, and spoons that kids and adults of all ages can slide down, the LG QuadWash water park spans 6750 square feet, an overall footprint larger than two and a half tennis courts combined. It'll be a feature at New York's Citi Summer Streets festival, taking place Aug. 5, Aug. 12 and Aug. 19, which devotes nearly seven miles of New York streets to the public for leisure activities, and can be found on Park Avenue between 70th and 71st Street.
As well as letting 25-30 people at a time swim, LG will offer livestreams from inside the water park for those who don't want to get wet, and there will be product demos conducted by trainers in poolside cabanas to give passersby the lowdown on the LG QuadWash dishwasher. The brand will also be hosting various social media contests where consumers can win their own LG QuadWash dishwashers.
What's more, on Saturday, Aug.19, you can watch four "influencers" (Fortune Feimster, Adrienne Moore, JD Witherspoon and Sam Talbot) dressed up as different foods racing one another through the LG QuadWash Water Park obstacle course. It sounds unmissable.
The activiation is being managed by RQ Experience.
