The Canadian dollar is currently fluctuating round a 13-year low against the U.S. dollar, so Canadian agency Lg2 decided to make it work in its favor.
The Toronto shop made this video in which a client literally gets 35% extra from a Canadian agency in a pitch, in the form of pint size account people, strategists, and even interns. The agency has also created a microsite where marketers can have their U.S. marketing budget instantly converted to Canadian dollars.
"Exporters, American tourists, and those seeking post-secondary education are benefiting from the low dollar here. Toronto's mayor even made a trip to Hollywood to drum up film production business for Canada", says Jeremy Gayton, Partner and President of lg2 Toronto in a statement. "So we figured, why not highlight how U.S. marketers can benefit as well?"
