"Hamilton" Creator Lin-Manuel Miranda and action film auteur Robert Rodriguez teamed up on this thought-provoking music video about the American immigrant experience, directed by Tomas Whitmore of Diktator.

The powerful clip, for the track "Immigrants (We Get the Job Done)" off "The Hamilton Mixtape" album, highlights the oft-overlooked contributions of U.S. immigrants. It depicts, one by one, individuals singing and rapping about about being the invisible, unacknowledged pillars fueling the country, as they boldly march through various tableaux -- a sweatshop, a butchery, a hospital, a kitchen, a subway car.

"We're America's ghostwriters -- the credit's only borrowed," declares Mexican-American hip hop artist Snow Tha Product, in one of the tune's most cogent lyrics.

Nearly halfway through, the singing stops and a piercing noise creates a dramatic pause before the next act. Riz MC aka Riz Ahmed ("The Night Of," "Star Wars: Rogue One") takes over a subway car, ripping a black bar that masks his face as we see scenes of families and young children in trucks, their homes and workplace under the threat of discovery by ICE-like security.

Other performers featured include K'naan, Residente of Calle 13 and Tony-winning "Hamilton" star Daveed Diggs. Each wrote their own verses capturing their personal thoughts on immigration. Miranda and Rodriguez served as exec producers on the film.
