Celebs Describe First Homes In Lloyds Bank Rebrand

Spot Created With Channel 4 Aims To Give Brand More Personal Touch

Editor's Pick

British celebrities and TV personalities describe their first homes in this sympathetically-created spot from Lloyds Bank in conjunction with Channel 4. (The spot is part of a wider campaign marking the bank's rebrand and separation from the TSB brand, which launched its own campaign earlier this month). TV retail guru Mary Portas, sports presenter Clare Balding, paralympic champion Ade Adepitan and Apprentice star Nick Hewer appear in "talking head" style vignettes, directed by BAFTA nominated director Southan Morris for agency/production company The Outfit. They will run exclusively on Channel 4-owned stations.

Lloyds' main consumer campaign also broke this week, with a film from RKCR/Y&R describing the pros (and cons) of getting your first mortgage.Giving its brand a more personal touch is crucial for Lloyds, one of a number of big high street banks whose reputation has been knocked by the financial crisis and scandals such as PPI mis-selling. New regulations which allow customers to switch banks more easily have also come into play, making a focus customer service even more important.
