Japanese student Mayuko Kanazawa eschews Verdana for a more... interesting font. The design student at Tama Art University was challenged by professors to create a font without using computers.

The result: A font in a medium that most of us take for granted every day -- hair. Kanazawa has manipulated leg hair -- not her own leg, but a friend's -- into the alphabet, both lower case and upper case. She also used the font in spec work for Adidas.
