McDonald's Reaffirms Commitment to 'I'm Lovin' It' With Extra Dose of Positivity

Work Seems to Take Page From Oreo Playbook

McDonald's recently laid out its new brand platform and reasserted its commitment to its classic tag "I'm Lovin' It," promising to bring more positivity into its messaging.

Among the first moves in that vein is this animated spot from Leo Burnett featuring classic foes -- PacMan and the Ghosts, the Joker and Batman, for example -- turning chummy.

It's not hard to see striking similarities in approach to the recent "Wonderfilled" effort for Oreos via The Martin Agency, which includes whimsically animated spots backed by charming renditions of the campaign's theme song.
