JWT Melbourne Promotes Writers' Fest with 'Choose Your Own Adventure'-style Campaign

The Melbourne Writers Festival is going totally digital to promote its big event this year with a choose-your-own-adventure style location-based storytelling app that, with the help of geo-location beacons, changes the plot up according to its users' location. The festival tapped JWT Melbourne to create the app, which features stories from authors such as Liam Pieper, Nic Low and Leanne Hall, narrator by Aussie actors John Wood, John Flaus, Noni Nazlehurst and Richard Piper.

To promote the event and the digital experience, JWT Melbourne created this hilarious cinema ad about a man who comes into questionably good fortune after the death of his Great Aunt Margaret. The ad, too, features choose-your-adventure style twists in an interactive Youtube version.

The festival runs from August 21 to August 31. The cinema film will run through August 31 and the app will be available from mid-August.
