Leo Burnett/Johannesburg takes elitist comedy out for a spin in this offbeat South African print campaign touting a Mercedes roadster. If the photos appear to be poignant archival images with Photoshopped fun elements, a tip of the hat, not to mention the scarf, to photographer Michael Myersfeld, who shot the portraits and manipulated them in post. And if by Stateside standards there's something a tad insensitive about these jokes at the expense of the have-nots, it apparently doesn't play that way in S.A. or it just doesn't matter. According to agency creatives, "The scarf, hat and toupee are representative of the sophisticated AMG driver. This is recognized and appreciated by the photographed onlookers."
