Metro-Deck: Metro-Deck

MTA cards turned into playing cards.

Published on

Editor's Pick

Designer Norman Ibarra turns NYC MTA metrocards into works of art, by repurposing discarded metrocards using enamel and thinner to create playing cards.

Metrodeck cards are pretty unique. Each design is inspired by a NYC landmark, like Coney Island, Times Square and the Staten Island Ferry. Markings or drawings on the card have been left as they were, creating a charming connection between the cards and the people who owned them.
