Miami Ad School: Apple Donation Box

Donate your apps.

Published on

Editor's Pick

A nifty holiday idea from students at the Miami turns your iPhone apps into goods to be donated. A "donation" box app that lives on your phone accepts apps that you no longer need. When you drag and drop your beloved Angry Birds, for example, into the box, Apple donates the price of the app to a charity.

Copywriter Westley Taylor explains that the app was born from the common idea of "app remorse," where we always end up with leftovers after app purchases that serve their usefulness and then become pointless.

The students that worked on the idea live in New York, and are currently interning at 360i.
