Editor's Pick

The Camera Culture division of MIT Media Lab has developed NETRA, a cost-friendly alternative to the traditional eye exam. The system couples a special device made of inexpensive optical elements and mobile phone software to estimate the refractive errors in a person's eye, and thus determine the patient's prescription. The project will be presented later this year at SIGGRAPH in July.
