This Mesmerizing Fashion Film Is Inspired by M.C. Escher

Moncler Spot Shot in Barcelona Plays With Geometry and Symmetry

Editor's Pick

A mesmerizing new film from French fashion brand Moncler, promoting its Spring/Summer 17 collection is inspired by artist M.C. Escher.

Directed by Alan Masferrer via Colonel Blimp and Spanish production company Grayskull, the spot features models meeting themselves in mirror images and vistas of staircases and arches that play with symmetry and geometry, as in Escher's iconic artworks.

Running online and in Moncler stores worldwide, the film was shot in just one day in an artist's folly in Barcelona. The location is real, but mirroring and sky replacement was achieved in post-production to create its Escheresque surreal quality.
