A Burly Builder Shows Off His Pole Dancing Moves in Latest Moneysupermarket Ad

Mother London Follows Up Viral Hit 'Epic Strut' With Another Unexpected Hero

Mother London's previous outing for Moneysupermarket.com, "Epic Strut," went seriously viral after featuring an office worker twerking in hotpants and high heels. Now the insurance website must be hoping that this pole-dancing construction worker can do the same.

"Colin" features a paunchy guy working on a rooftop building site who, like office worker Dave, feels "epic" after saving money with the brand. Grabbing hold of a construction pole, he performs a series of eye-popping moves, much to the appreciation of the office workers in the building opposite. In the final frame, he channels Miley Cyrus in "Wrecking Ball." Set to the track "Just a Little Bit" by '90s British band Liberty X,the spot was directed by Noam Murro through Biscuit.

"Epic Strut" received over 2.6 million YouTube views, 1.25 million views on Facebook and 27.3 million estimated impressions on Twitter, capturing the British imagination so much it even featured on the front cover of "The Sun" (with a cartoon of British Chancellor George Osborne wearing hotpants and heels).

Moneysupermarket isn't the only brand challenging gender stereotypes in a funny U.K. ad this week: Foster's also introduced us to a muscular Aussie cheerleader practising his pom pom throwing in an ad by Adam & Eve/DDB.
