Moonbot Studios: The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore

Blurring the line between picture books and film.

Editor's Pick

Superior kids' movie-style animation meets a children's book app in The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore - and no wonder, it was created by former Pixar, Dreamworks and Disney animator William Joyce together with Moonbot Studios.

The app allows children to experience the book either as a book or as a standalone animated film - or, they can 'blur the lines between a picture book and animated film', as the iTunes description promises, and do both. The book has plenty of hidden features allowing children to explore further by bringing parts of it to life - for example, they can play the piano, draw and play with food in the story.
