For every passionate baseball fan who's ever second-guessed the manager of their favorite team, MSN has teamed up with production company LivePlanet (of Project Greenlight fame) and L.A.-based interactive agency Schematic to create Fan Club: Reality Baseball, an interactive online reality series that puts the managerial reigns of an actual minor league team directly into your hands. For the rest of the season, know-it-all fans of the Schaumburg Flyers can exercise complete control over the roster by casting daily votes on the Fan Club website. Think fantasy baseball, on steroids. (Okay, maybe not steroids...) The site also features game highlights, behind-the-scenes videos and player profiles, and additional interactive polls—allowing fans to determine batting orders, the pitching rotation and off-the-field transactions—will go live over the next few weeks.
