Puppymonkeybaby Has Competition From Dancing Critters in Latest from Mtn Dew Kickstart
Soft Drink Starts a Freak Chain in New Spot

Following the Super Bowl success of its bizarro hybrid creature Puppymonkeybaby, Mountain Dew Kickstart is back with another groovy spot, this time featuring a whole troop of booty-shaking animals.
The spot opens on a sweaty big guy who dives into his fridge for a can of cold Kickstart, a sip of which sends his body gyrating in all kinds of directions. A mosquito lands on his neck and then takes a sip of him, and starts bugging out in his own style.
As you can probably guess, the "Freak Chain," as the spot is titled, continues, when a frog eats the mosquito, a fish gobbles up the frog and a furry kitty then takes a bite of the fish. And yes, we're wondering if they all have the Zika virus now.
The spot, created out of BBDO New York and directed by Ulf Johansson of Smith & Jones, who also shot "Puppymonkeybaby," features the four newest Kickstart flavors, Midnight Grape, Watermelon, Blueberry Pomegranate and Blood Orange.
Tagline reads: "It all starts with a kick." Stay tuned for the sequel, in which we predict Puppymonkeybaby will return to devour Fluffy the cat.
