Editor's Pick

It's hard to shoot a film think of the myriad transatlantic conference calls, celebrity director egos, and the cost of CGI. National Geographic Wild Channel uses emotive voiceovers and simple, stunning photography to capture nature at its finest, showing that when it comes to the beauty of wildlife and Mother Nature, less is ultimately more. The ads were created by DDB Paris, and shot by four directors: Lawrence Wahba and Haroldo Palo Jr. (Rainforest), Bob Poole (Gnu and Sandstorm) and Jerry Butterfield (Alligator.)

The campaign also includes three print ads, which juxtapose long copy touting how easy it was in terms of logistics to take these pictures, with stunning photography of nature. The agency was charged with highlighting the channel's expertise in the competitive television market, and also reinforce what makes NatGeo different.
