NBA: The King of New York

Spike Lee, Knicks fan.

Published on Dec 26, 2012

Editor's Pick

When Bernard King played that legendary 60-point game against the Nets on Xmas day in 1984, Spike Lee was there. He directs and stars in this spot for the NBA out of Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, where he recounts the high-octane moments of that game and asks -- who will the next King of New York be?

The NBA also aired an accompanying spot, "Wanda," on Christmas Day this year. That one wasn't directed by Lee, but focuses on Kevin Durant's mother, Wanda Pratt, and her support for her superstar son.
