Personal shopping just went digital. For those for whom a trip to a store involves detailed consultations with sales associates or even personal shoppers, Neiman Marcus is trialling in-store shopping app NM Service at stores in Austin, Dallas-NorthPark, San Francisco and Palo Alto. The app lets users see which sales associates are in store, then message and make appointments with their favorites (or BFFs, as the app even calls them). They can also keep up with store events, mark favorite products which will automatically be visible to their selected sales associates and scan QR codes to unlock product information and trends.
