Today, Netflix rolled out a new social recommendation feature that allows you to suggest a cool show or movie to a Facebook friend, without broadcasting it out to your whole social network. After you've finished watching a program, Netflix will display a stream of Facebook friends to those who have hooked up their accounts and give them the option to recommend it and send a message. The feature will not post the information or share what you've viewed on your friends' news feed.

For those whose Netflix and Facebook accounts aren't connected, Netflix will send a private message via Facebook Messenger. The service is available on iPhone, iPad, Xbox, PS3 and on smart TVs, with more platforms to come.
