Netflix is placing frozen banana stands in various locations in London, New York and Los Angeles to promote the comeback of Arrested Development after seven years off-air. Fans can pose in front of or inside the pop-up Bluth's Original Frozen Banana, and a Twitter feed will reveal the location of the bananas. The stand will pop up in different locations around London on May 9, 15 and 21 before heading on to the U.S. The new series will be broadcast on Netflix on May 26 in the U.S., Canada, UK, Ireland, Latin America, Brazil and Scandinavia. The original show aired on Fox from 2003 to 2006.
