New York Magazine: Hurricane Sandy Cover

The city and the storm.

Editor's Pick

Last week's devastating hurricane is resulting in some wonderfully creative magazine covers. First, Bloomberg Businessweek wowed us with this unafraid cover, now, New York Magazine features a stunning photograph, shot by Iwan Baan, showing the lower half of Manhattan blacked out due to the storm. It's especially poignant as it shows the Freedom Tower, still with power, anchoring the bottom of the island. The photo must have been shot earlier in the week, as the Tower later lost power along with the surrounding areas. See NYMag's Hurricane coverage here.
