Nike Football: Take Control

Andres Iniesta, soccer puppet.

Editor's Pick

FC Barcelona's Andres Iniesta is puppeteer'd around a cute little football field in this spot for Nike's new CTR360 Maestri III line of soccer cleats, by Wieden London, Aardman and directed by French-Canadian director Patrick Boivin.

A marionette Iniesta skillfully maneuvers around the soccer field, dodging players from the opposing team, clad in white, until he faces his final opponent -- the goalkeeper. But the puppet's mastery over the soccer ball is a metaphor for the power of the Iniesta shoe, as the surprise ending shows.

In previous puppet action: Dougal Wilson directed the "Life in Technicolor" video for Coldplay back in 2009.
