Nike: Nike+ FuelStation

Nike is showcasing its vision of retail experience of the future in a pop-up store in London's Shoreditch. Called the Fuel Station, and promoting the forthcoming Nike+ Fuel Band, the store is located in the futuristic Boxpark mall (in which all the outlets are made from shipping containers). Nike's store is spread across four containers, and and features elements such as an interactive wall, and a 'Fuel Pod' where you can record video of yourself using a Kinect device, which you can then share or embed. There are also computers where you can set up your Fuel Band system, and a pod where you can film yourself running on a treadmill. Sales staff are equipped iPads that both double as catalogs for goods that aren't available in-store, and contain features such as an Augmented Reality app that shoes you how a Nike shoe is made.
