Function revisited.

Editor's Pick

Earlier this year, London College of Communication design student Paul Jenkins launched Nike78, a collaborative project inspired by Nike. Jenkins sent creatives, artists and designers around the world a brand new pair of Nikes, asking them to challenge the function of the shoes, using sport as their inspiration. Among the participants include Wieden + Kennedy Tokyo Lab, which turned a shoe into a fishtank, Nick Marsh, who converted his pair into Wii controllers, Jenkins himself, Riitta Ikonen and Ian Wright, Alex Godwin, Erica Dorn and several others. All the pieces will be exhibited in September at the London Design Festival.
