Roger Federer Owns the Grass in Nike's Ad Memorializing His Record-Breaking Wimbledon Title

Pro Becomes First Male Player to Win Tournament Eight Times

Editor's Pick

Roger Federer became the first male tennis player to win eight Wimbledon singles titles yesterday, so Nike decided to memorialize his record in an energetic new spot.

As we see quick shots of Federer getting ready to play and slamming the ball down, the spot boldly reads, "If you are not here to cut the grass, get off my lawn" -- because it's clear who owns the Wimbeldon court now.

The ad then flashes the number 8, which then seamlessly segues to become the "g" in Federer's first name. Wieden & Kennedy Portland was behind the spot.
