Nissan: World's Cheapest Taxi Stand

Nissan Leaf teamed up with AKQA in London last month to demonstrate just how much cheaper electric cars are to run. It set up a special taxi rank at the Truman Brewery in East London, with a 100% electric fleet - but the cabs could only be hailed via Twitter. To qualify for a ride, passengers were required to tweet their destination, followed by the hashtag #6XCHEAPER. Nissan responded to the individual tweets with the journey cost in both electric and petrol, then professional taxi drivers drove customers to their destinations in the specially-decorated cabs.
