While it may not truly incite a rise of the machines, Nokia has nonetheless made "computers jealous" with a campaign promoting its latest NSeries model. The somewhat absurdist site for the mobile outfit, which highlights how such new on-the-go devices light a fire under traditional computers, features a newspaper-styled front page template that includes a global map of victims accosted by their computers, lengthy articles and video testimonials from alleged "jealous computer" victims.

Tying into the print campaign, the Nokia interactive endeavor had its share of hurdles according to the press release, including lawyer battles about the context of the campaign. Luckily, the folks at These Days won the favor of Nokia execs, who dug the slightly gruesome concept and eventually gave the Days' heads the thumbs up. The resulting site also offers fictional links to purchase books on how to deal with jealous computers, a chronology of facts relating to the outbreak, safety tips and more extras to come.
