Nonlinear Studio: Amplifiear

Turn up the volume.

Editor's Pick

If you've ever tried to hack the volume on your iPad speaker by holding a magazine, or coffee cup cover against its corner to help redirect the sound, your problems may soon be over. Brooklyn design studio Nonlinear has come up with this simple, but apparently effective device called the Amplifiear. It looks like a shallow cup with a wedge missing, that space reserved for the corner of your iPad. The device basically redirects and amplifies the volume of the iPad speaker. Unfortunately, the Amplifiear is not in production--yet. You can help bring it to fruition by supporting it on Kickstarter, where it's reached about 75% of its $10,000 goal.
