Editor's Pick

The New York Times' R&D group has developed Cascade, a datavisualization tool that helps to analyze the underlying structures of sharing information on the web. The tool visualizes "how information propagates through the social media space." With it, users can see the lifecycle of a news sharing conversation, the connection between readers and publishers, and the most influential sharers and contributors to a conversation.

Check out examples of Cascade at work on the NYT Labs site.
