London-based research team Foundry developed a product that turns your online notifications into smells. You stack the Ollys on top of each other and then link it up to an app that keeps an eye on the Web for your notifications. When the app sees that your significant other has written on your Facebook profile, for example, it tells the Arduino chip inside the Olly to activate the inner fan, releasing the scent.

The creators plan to create in the future, for creating and distributing web-connected objects -- Twinemight be a good one. The Kickstarter project needs $35,000 to turn Olly into a reality -- just over $1,000 has been pledged so far.
