With the One Show 2009 call for entries now underway, Charlotte-based agency BooneOakley has launched a campaign that lets potential entrants briefly experience the thrill of winning a Pencil.

With its "One Show Test Drive" site, the agency invites creatives to register and pay a small deposit to receive a Gold Pencil to show off for a week. Each week for the next twelve weeks, forty randomly chosen creatives will receive pencils along with congratulatory calls from industry figureheads like David Lubars, Lee Clow and more. BooneOakley encourages you to "test" the award by capturing your experiences with the Pencil and uploading video to their site.

The Test Drive site itself is loaded with automotive analogies including a 360-degree view of the Gold Pencil and a section that displays its standard features like career acceleration and increased pay.
