Agencies keen on leveraging jargon like "eyeballs" need not look further than Poke, London’s site for U.K. mobile giant Orange to lure them. In what’s essentially a never-ending website, the colorful, Javascript-loaded, Flash-enhanced destination promotes Orange’s promote "Speak Easy" pay-as-you-go service.

Using the header that "Good Things Should Never End," the rainbow-tracked homepage includes not only TV adverts for the campaign, but a winding trail of kooky imagery that includes chirping, flipping black birds, Casper-like creations and a prison-barred group of shadow-like creatures that animate with a mouse click. A multitude of clickable items, in fact, comprise the site, offering further content including user generated stick-figure drawings on an iPod-styled screen.

With a soundtrack that weaves a quirky, hyper-electro backbeat and a chorus of "Yo's" (from yo-yoing characters) with the spectrum of visuals, the site manages to use its animated avatars to hype "Speak Easy" features like unlimited texting while allowing visitors at the same time to do things like make ice cream with an ornate slot machine and use a pinwheel gadget to leave a random message. Randomness, in fact, reigns supremely thanks to the Javascript software that seemingly culls info from an embedded database and creates content at the bottom of each frame, which in turn results in a site that can offer a variety of avenues of exploration.
