Adam Lambert Fronts Tune for Oreo's Global 'Open Up' Ad Promoting Diversity

Spot Will Air in 50 Countries

Oreo today launches a global campaign encouraging people to "open up" and make connections with others from all walks of life. The animated ad, by The Martin Agency, is a continuation of its "Wonderfilled" campaign and centers on a little girl at a roller rink.

When she shares an Oreo cookie with a woman who's tapping on her smartphone, it becomes a catalyst for all kinds of different folks to connect and skate together. Singer Adam Lambert provides the vocals for a soundtrack that underlines the ad's message of diversity and openness, suggesting that we should be more like children, free from bias and judgement.

The TV spot, animated by design and animation collective Buck, will air in more than 50 countries and will be followed by digital content next month, which will again demonstrate how an Oreo cookie can bring together two people from very different backgrounds.

Oreo has also launched another animation for social media, based on the idea of an Oreo "Wonder Vault" where flavors are created. The film is by 360i and introduces new flavor Cinammon Bun and also flags up returning flavor Red Velvet.
