Oreo has picked 11 emerging artists from around the globe -- including New York muralist Jeff Soto, Barcelona duo Brosmind and Spanish designer Alex Trochut -- and asked them to get creative with the cookie through their art forms. Each artist was given three words that correspond with the brand and how people enjoy Oreo cookies and was asked to bring these words to life. Some of the words were functional, such as "Dunk" and "Twist," while others were more emotional, such as "Dream" and "Wonder." The only stipulation was to incorporate a character into their artwork by using the Oreo wafer as the face or head.
The collection will be showcased on walls in New York, Los Angeles, Indianapolis and other cities until the end of March. It's all part of the brand's ongoing "Play With Oreo" project, which launched in January with a global TV spot.
