Parrot recently announced the public release of its AR Drone remote-controlled Quadricopter, which players can steer using their iPhones, iPod Touches or iPads. With the free AR.Free Flight app, users can pilot the drone indoors and out, as well as see everything it sees. The drone can fly anywhere as it boasts its own Wi-Fi signal. Additional AR games like Drone Gate and Flying Ace allow players to engage in World War II air combat as well as sci-fi themed exploration, at $2.99 apiece. The quadricopter itself will be available at select retailers in September.
